Cafe MotoWorks was started officially in 2007, unofficially a year or so earlier by to guys that wanted to build a Cafe
Racer out of a 70's motorcycle. We purchased a 1974 CB550k from one of the local motorcycle shops and trailered it
home. After staring at our purchase for a couple of ours we decided to dig in and start tearing off everything that wasn't
going to be used for our bike. I started going through all of the mechanical and electrical elements of the bike and my
buddy James started on the cosmetics of the bike. So after 3 months of working weekend and nights during the week,
we completed Zeke. And like a wicked drug, I was hooked on building Cafe Racers and working on old bikes, and the
rest is in the making.
